Paddle Wars Tournament FAQs

This is a tournament geared for our Active Adults 55+ community. Players of all skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just starting out, Paddle Wars has divisions to match your skill level.

Registration can be completed online here: paddlewars.ca. Spots fill quickly, so be sure to sign up early!

This event is non-refundable. If you are unable to make it, we are happy to transfer your ticket to someone else.

We offer Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles play, in two age categories (55-69 & 70+), and beginner, intermediate and advanced skill categories. There are no singles matches.

DUPR’s is a pickleball player rating scale, all new players start as NR (Not Rated) and progress through a scale ranging from 2.000 (beginner) to 8.000 (professional). Your rating updates automatically every time a result is shared. Registration is free and available here. You are not required to provide your DUPR ID and score if you are registering as a beginner.

We encourage you to register yourself and we will do our very best to pair you up with someone in your age group and skill level. Pairings are not guaranteed and depend on other registrations. In the event that we are not able to pair you with another player, we will issue a refund for your ticket.

Calgary Paddle Wars will take place on January 24-25, 2026, at Mega Courts Pickleball and Tennis (5160 68 Ave SE Calgary, AB T2C 4N8). Check-in begins at 7:30am.

Players should bring their own paddles and water bottles. Balls will be provided. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and court shoes. No outdoor shoes are allowed on the courts. There are change stations at the entrance to the building.

Yes! We will have paddles available for use during the tournament courtesy of Mega Courts! They also have some in stock for purchase if you want to pick one up for yourself!
